this last month or so we ran a test run without using mode +c on rooms , if your unframiliar with this mode , if the mode is set it limits the amount of nicknames you can join to one room, when the mode is unset you can join as many nicks to the room as you want basically, but if the mode IS set , it only allowed you three nicks per room, over this time period of evaluating how it goes with out the mode being on, weve decided the server still needs to be more restricted because of bloated rooms , but we have also compromised with going from a clone limit of three to a clone limit of 4.we understand that many use mirc scripts for trivia, frenzy, bible scripts and for room protections , we feel that by upping the limit from three to four that it should be workable in most all situations. If you have questions please join helpdesk, this will also be reflected in the COC which is at the bottom of your chat page .

More nicks per ip does not mean more chatters...it just means more of the same chatters. I think 4 per ip is perfect.

alot of ppl per ip if it same ppl it just laggs the svr some but that assumin its alot of ppl doin that

you screw over people sharing an internet conection, where i chat there's 8 connections per ip address n thas plenty think about other people n then change it

why can't I join a chat room it says I need to install plugins what plugins do I need

I was a coder for over 10 years and the simple answer to everyone's questions is..

1, simply to stop people over crowding rooms with bots that just spam crap all the time.

2, for your rooms own protection stop people flooding your room and crashing it.

the things that are done on a server are for your's and the chat networks best interests. yes it's not like MSN but how much crap went on with MSN scripters flooding, cloning.

i agree with dolly i have chatted in her room on another server for a long time and she provides a lovely safe place to chat. in my home there are 6 pc's desk top and lap top devices. if myself my husband and both my daughters chose to chat someone would be dissapointed as 3 nics per isp would knock someone off the site. and if i was online with my host name too then only 2 people could get into the room.

The whole server is being looked into at this time

A little patience wouldnt go amiss. Ive always found that Admin and sysops & guides in sparkpea are the best there are .. Its what keeps me in sparkpea . But If I get you in help desk DRAGON lol Id have to leave without asking anything.

The load of 300 chatters does not a dos make, but I get your point.

I , like every one else, just wanted to sit in our room and be left alone by staff. It is my personal opinion that a specific member of the staff is "dumber than a box of rocks" and I didn't want that staff member in our room. After stating this (in our room), I was challenged by both staff and former-staff to "go ahead, IF you can" and "do your worst"; we are all merely reaping what those folks have sown.

I want to be able to participate. For the last couple of months when I try to log to a room in all I get is a sold blue window and no access. What is the problem?? I have tried different browsers but am still unable to access any room. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who could explain how to solve this problem.
