Chat help

With Sparkpea Chat, you can hold text-based conversations in real time over the Internet.
As each chat participant enters a statement, the text appears on the screens of all of the other participants.
In this way, people all over the world can join in a discussion as if they were in the same room.
Chat is a great way to connect with other people from around the world, using access to the Internet.

What kinds of things can participants in a chat room do?
You can do all of the following in a chat room:
- Participate in a chat room discussion.
- Customize the appearance and color of the text that you write.
- Whisper to up to four participants privately.
- Use emoticons to express feelings and attitudes without having to type them.
- Block certain users from talking to you.
- Create your own chat room.

What is a host?
A chat room host moderates the discussion in the chat room.
The host has the power to kick out (expel) and ban people from the chat room, as well as promote others to host status.
When chatting, you can recognize the host by the brown hammer or gold hammer next to their chat nickname.

The creator of a chat room is automatically designated as the host. Hosts can also be designated by an SPCN member of staff.
You can recognize the Staff by the butterfly next to their chat nickname.

Emotion icons (smileys)
Emotion icons, otherwise called smileys, emoticons, emotes or similar
are small images that have been initially assigned to a code of text.
When you type this text-code in a chatroom, on the forum, or in your profile,
these images will be seen instead of the original text. Below is each smiley with its respective text-code.
